Ten Relationship Words That Aren't Translatable into English

  • Ten Relationship Words That Aren't Translatable into English

  • Mamihlapinatapei (Yagan, an indigenous language of Tierra del Fuego): The wordless yet meaningful look shared by two people who desire to initiate something, but are both reluctant to start.
  • Yuanfen (Chinese): A relationship by fate or destiny. This is a complex concept. It draws on principles of predetermination in Chinese culture, which dictate relationships, encounters and affinities, mostly among lovers and friends.
  • Cafuné (Brazilian Portuguese): The act of tenderly running your fingers through someone's hair.
  • Retrouvailles (French): The happiness of meeting again after a long time.
  • Ilunga (Bantu): A person who is willing to forgive abuse the first time; tolerate it the second time, but never a third time.
  • La Douleur Exquise (French): The heart-wrenching pain of wanting someone you can’t have.
  • Koi No Yokan (Japanese): The sense upon first meeting a person that the two of you are going to fall into love.
  • Ya’aburnee (Arabic): “You bury me.” It’s a declaration of one’s hope that they’ll die before another person, because of how difficult it would be to live without them.
  • Forelsket: (Norwegian): The euphoria you experience when you’re first falling in love.
  • Saudade (Portuguese): The feeling of longing for someone that you love and is lost. Another linguist describes it as a "vague and constant desire for something that does not and probably cannot exist."

future and a past

let's try to entertain this insomnia with a little blogging.

I like a woman with a future and a past

I know things get hard girl but you got it girl
You got it there you go
Can't you tell by how they looking at you everywhere you go
Wondering whats on your mind, it must be hard to be that fine

I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so proud of you
I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so proud of you
I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so proud of you
Everything's adding
up, you've been through hell and back
Thats why you're bad as fuck and you

i don't need drake's approval :) but the first line is my favorite in this song, and i love the positive overall message. every woman has her own story, her own baggage, no matter if it seems like a big deal to you or not, know that it made her who she is today. and because of that she treats you the way she does. she doesn't do it out of spite. she does it because that's what she was taught is right, or you taught her to be that way. now its up to you to choose if that's good or bad.

yes, women to have their own minds, and are in control of their actions. but to not have been affected by their relationships is a women who has not lived at all. know that much.
